Synopsis of Fukigen na Mononokean
Hanae Ashiya’s beginning high school life was not easy: she spent the entire first week in the infirmary and her inexplicable condition only got worse. The cause of his agony is the mysterious, hazy creature that has clung to him since he met her the day before class began.
As her health continues to deteriorate and the creature grows larger, Hanae comes across a flyer announcing an exorcist who is driving the youkai away. Desperate and without losing anything, he calls the number and is taken to the Mononokean, a tea room that suddenly appears next to the infirmary. Haruitsuki Abeno, a grumpy-sounding man, reluctantly helps Hanae, but then demands payment. To Hanae’s dismay, he cannot pay the fee and has to become an employee of the Mononokean to pay off his debts. And to make matters worse, your new boss is actually one of your classmates. If Hanae ever hopes to pay off her debt, she will have to work with Abeno to lead a multitude of dangerous, strange, and interesting youkai back to the underworld.
