fairy tales has been one of the most watched series in the world in the manga and anime universe for several years. It was one of the series that contributed the most to the popularity of the publications of Weekly shonen jump, behind the aforementioned Big Three, ONE PIECE, Naruto and Bleach.
The author is now concerned with EDENS ZERO, new series with different influences from the previous one. The adventure in the lead role Natsu Dragneel have been completed for a few years now and we can now see in concrete terms how the manga series has behaved in terms of sales over the past few years.
Thanks to Josu_ke’s tweet we can see the sales development of individual volumes. From the graph we can clearly see how the series up to volume 49 managed to attract attention and keep the amount sold up to that point high. From volume 50, however, the series’ popularity suddenly seems to have collapsedwith the latest volume arriving at the lowest sell point on the chart.
EDENS ZERO seems to be continuing this negative trend, which is also with the start of the Netflix anime series. It seems that the new series of Hiro Mashima will not be as successful as the previous series, so far the Fairy Tail Tankobons have sold three times as much as those from EDENS ZERO.
Despite these terrifying dates, the second part of EDENS ZERO comes to Netflix.
