For now, MAP study plans to cast Denji’s gritty story into anime, so it’s no surprise how excited the fans are for the series. Even the creator Tatsuki Fujimoto He’s excited, but these days the artist has given fans a much-needed update on Chainsaw Man Part 2.
The update comes from Twitter after sites like WSJ_manga picked up the latest Chainsaw Man leaks. He spoke to Kono Manga ga Sugoi, and here it is Fujimoto said he was focusing on a one-shot now more like Chainsaw Man.
This is also confirmed by the interview Fujimoto is still working sporadically on the new part of Chainsaw Man, but it is not a project that fully fills his professional life. The story is far from over, and the author of Chainsaw Man meanwhile keeps himself fit by working on one-shots and anthologies.
If this update could bother anyone, so many other fans are excited to see Fujimoto working on the things he wants. It’s never bad to take a break, when masterpieces like Look Back are created during those breaks, let’s hope they last a long time.
After all, the problems could be innumerable: it could be difficult to see beyond yourself as a writer, or to frame the story if you are too engrossed in it. I keep my distance from Chainsaw Man Fujimoto gains a different perspective from the outside. This can only do the fans good, and it does so without taking Fujimoto’s commitments into account.
Given the wave of notoriety the series is getting, it would also be profitable for the author to get the sequel out right away, however Fujimoto doesn’t let the popularity of Chainsaw Man overwhelm him. Even if it will take longer at some point, fans should rather wait for a good second part than read a patched sequel right away.
At the moment it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer before returning to read about new adventures from Denji and co. But they won’t be breathless as the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man is on the verge of becoming one of the great protagonists of Anime 2022.
