On the official page for the manga written and illustrated by Taishi Tsutsui, Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai ((We never learn) unveiled the cover of the twentieth compilation volume, which will be released in Japan on January 4, 2021. This volume will also contain a special edition that includes a drama CD and an illustration booklet.
Tsutsui published the manga in the magazine Weekly shonen jump from the publisher Shueisha Between February 2017 and December 2020, the publisher published the eighteenth compiled volume on August 18, followed by the nineteenth on October 2 in Japan.
The piece inspired a thirteen episode anime adaptation that aired between April and June 2019 and was produced as a collaboration between the studios. Arvo animation and Studio silver.
