Most of the most popular works, especially those published in the magazine Weekly shonen jumpare victims of leaks in their next few chapters long before their official release. This is a rather questionable and criticized practice, even within the fan community themselves, who argue that it ruins the surprises the author prepares for his readers each week. Such is the case with the manga, which was written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, Boku not a hero academywho revealed the hero name Katsuki Bakugou in the leaks of chapter 293.

Katsuki Bakugou's heroic name after the leaks was revealed as Dynamight, something that hadn't been revealed in the entire serialization of the manga. The reactions on social networks were immediate, with the troop of fans of the South Korean boy band Bts noting that the song "Dynamite" dominated the "HOT 100" list BillboardLike Katsuki, Bakugou (Dynamight) dominated the manga's sixth rank in popularity. Others mock Bakugou's chosen hero name, perhaps mocking him as a "karma effect" because he's seen as a rather annoying character.

For his part, Horikoshi began to publish the manga in the magazine Weekly shonen jump from the publisher Shueisha in July 2014. The publisher published the twenty-sixth compilation volume on March 4th and the twenty-seventh on July 3rd.

All four seasons of the anime adaptation of the manga were produced by the studios. boneand published in April 2016, April 2017, April 2018 and October 2019, respectively; A total of 88 episodes. The fifth season is scheduled to premiere in spring 2021.
