In Japan, awards for manga and anime are the order of the day, but celebrations and important awards for comic works are not lacking abroad either. With the arrival of San Diego Comic-Con, preparations have also been made for the Will Eisner Awards, where the Involvement of Chainsaw Man and other manga in the Asian category.

Here everyone is Eisner Prize nominees announced at Comic-Con International in the category "Best US Edition of International Works - Asia":

  • Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto;
  • Kaiju #8 by Naoya Matsumoto;
  • Junji Ito Lovesickness: Junji Ito Story Collection by Junji Ito;
  • Robo Sapiens by Toranosuke Shimada;
  • Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo;
  • Zombie 100 by Haro Aso and Kotaro Takata.

The jury selected Junji Ito for Best Writer/Artist, Comics and the Origins of Manga: A Revisionist History by Eike Exner for Best Academic/School Work, Love After World Domination by Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu for Best Digital Comic and finally in the category of Best Adaptation from Other Media, Disney's Cruella by Hachi Ishie. Last year it was Junji Ito who won many awards.

Three Shueisha House titles with big shots between current and announced anime are poised to capture audiences from around the world, including the United States.
