There are few souls who can boast as much support as that of Neon Genesis Evangelion, a niche product that later went viral. Born in 1995 from the Gainax studio and above all from the vision and philosophy of the director Hideaki Anno, it is one of the cult anime that every enthusiast must see sooner or later.

Neon Genesis Evangelion follows Shinji Ikari, a teenager who is recruited by the NERV organization to pilot a giant robot named Eva and fight unknown creatures called the Angels. The series has become known for its complex psychological plot, religious symbolism, and cultural relevance in Japanese society. The success led to the creation of a new version of Evangelion with a cinematic tetralogy.

THE four Rebuild of Evangelion films, produced from 2007 to 2021, are a reimagining of the original series with updated animations and textures. The first three films have been described as retelling the original series, while the fourth film deviates significantly from the original storyline. Since it's mostly a reimagining, almost all of the characters are returning from their first series.

Misato Katsuragi is one of the main characters in Neon Genesis Evangelion. He has appeared in both the 1995 series and the four films released after 2000, retaining the same role. She is the operational commander of NERV and Shinji Ikari's guardian. Cosplayer Alice Spiegel posted some photos on her Instagram account with this Misato Katsuragi cosplay, first in just a black dress, then with the red jacket that has made her so iconic. However, in the second photo, here is a half-bust with her, where the jacket reappears. You can also see this cosplay of Asuka at school.
