Oni and demons have always been a part of Japanese culture. In recent years, thanks largely to anime, they have often been the center of attention Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibacreated by Ufotable and taken from the manga of the same name by author Koyoharu Gotouge, published in Weekly Shonen Jump.
The series follows the adventures of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy trying to save his demon-turned sister Nezuko and become a demon hunter, with a first season in which he is immersed in the world of hunters and his first bloody series debuted fights, in a desperate attempt to find a cure for his sister. It wasn’t much different second season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibastarring Tanjiro and Nezuko, returned in 2022. In addition to the events of the film, the second season also included the narrative arc of the red light district.
Kibutsuji Muzan remains the main antagonist of the series as he is the creature capable of turning humans into demons. However, Demon Slayer Season 2’s true antagonists remain: Kimetsu no Yaiba, namely a crescent moon split into two demons. Daki is one of twelve moon demons on duty by Muzan: She is a young woman with a sadistic and cruel spirit who enjoys torturing and killing her victims. Daki has the ability to transform into an even stronger and more dangerous demon, with ribbons that become deadly weapons in his hands, and has a very special bond with his brother Gyutaro.
Daki’s transformations make her an even greater threat to Tanjiro and his comrades. She initially appears as a normal woman, while her first demonic version has black hair. However, cosplayer SailorKayla made TikTok herself Transform into Daki with this cosplay which depicts the character with white hair and the third eye, or its final form, which is the most difficult for Demon Slayer’s protagonists to break.
