The summer season of anime has now entered a month, with new titles to watch that have replaced many of those that aired during the spring season. There are fat souls known as Overlord and Made in Abyss, but also unpublished names in the Panorama such as call of the night.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name, known as Yofukashi no Uta in Japan, by an author who has already had some success. It is in fact Kotoyama, author of Dagashi Kashi, a manga about Japanese sweets, that is very popular at home. Now the mangaka has ventured into a completely different story, more serious and darker, takes place at night, as the title Call of the Night suggests.
And why it’s set at night is easy to say: the protagonist is Nazuna Nanakusa, a vampire. Light hair, very blue eyes, pale skin, and a need for blood lead her to come into contact with the series’ other protagonist, Kou Yamori, whose blood she will drink. Cosplayer Kanalyss pays homage to this anime and its protagonist in this one Nazuna Nanakusa Cosplay from Call of the Nightwhere you can also see some scenes from the manga for reference.
If you want to know what it is, don’t miss the Call of the Night trailer.
