2016 the Japanese director Makoto Shinkai has made one of the most famous animated films of recent years, acclaimed by both audiences and critics. We’re obviously talking about Your Name, capable of conquering even Jim Belushi, an American actor who developed a passion for anime thanks to this film.

The success of Your Name it is thanks to the tender love story between young people Mitsuha Miyamizu and Taki Tachibana, connected by the red thread of destiny, perfectly surrounded by magnificent animations. The work has resulted in many tributes over the years, from both fans and established artists in all fields.

The youngest artist to dedicate an illustration to Your Name was the mangaka Naoshi Arakawacreator of Your lie in April. In his tribute to Shinkai’s work you can see in @MangaMoguraRe At the end of this message, in the foreground we can see the protagonists Mitsuha and Taki, connected by the red thread of fate, while in the background we can see two subways and the entrance to a temple falling stars. The other main characters from Your Name are then present in the boxes surrounding the illustration.

L’Illustration by Naoshi Arakawa dedicated to your name was published in issue 50/2022 Weekly Shonen Magazinethe publisher’s flagship magazine Kodansha. The mangaka decided to do the drawing to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Suzume no Tojimari, Makoto Shinkai’s new movie, in Japanese cinemas.
