On the official page for the anime adaptation of the novel by Tomihiko morimi, Yojouhan Time Machine Blues (Tatami Time Machine Blues), the project's cast was revealed and it has been confirmed that it will premiere in Japan through the platform in 2022 Disney Plus. The Walt Disney Company takes care of worldwide sales.
The press release also indicated that the project would have a compilation film right after it aired and that the platform Disney Plus will offer a completely original episode in its catalog. This novel is a continuation of the novel Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei (The tatami galaxy), the Morimi published in 2004 by the publisher Ohta publishing house.
This novel inspired his own eleven-part anime adaptation that was produced by the studios. Madhouse, Headed by Masaaki Yuasa and scripts written by Makoto ueda, published in April 2010. Finally, this new novel was published on July 29, 2020 in Japan and is inspired by the play by Makoto ueda, Summertime machine blues. Morimi wrote the novel and Ueda, a close friend of the author, is credited with the original concept.

Yojouhan Time Machine Blues Synopsis
In the story of this sequel, the problematic friend of the protagonist of the original series, Ozu, breaks the remote control of the air conditioning of the apartment building in midsummer. Students begin to wonder what to do in this situation and make a plan with Akashi. However, a student comes from the future 25 years and the protagonist travels back in time to get the remote control with no past mistakes.
