A press release reported on the production of an anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Kotoyama, Yofukashi no Uta (Call of the night). The premiere is planned for the summer season 2022 (July-September) by the Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV. The statement was also confirmed by the speakers and the production team.
Kotoyama, who is also the author of the franchise of. is Dagashi kashiShe started by publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan in August 2019. The publisher published the seventh anthology in April 2021, followed by the eighth in July 2021 in Japan.

Summary of Yofukashi no Uta
Kou Yamori looks like a typical high school student on the surface. Relatively good at studying and friendly to his peers, he goes to great lengths to maintain this facade. One day, however, he decides to stop pretending to drop out of school. He gets insomnia because he has no way for his energy during the day. Walking alone at night makes him feel a little better, although he is aware that his insomnia should be viewed as a serious problem.
On one of these walks, Kou meets a strange girl, Nazuna Nanakusa, who diagnoses the cause of his insomnia: although he has changed his life, it continues to prevent him from experiencing true freedom. She tells him that if he is not satisfied with the way he is spending his waking hours, he cannot sleep. When it looks like he has resolved his current concerns, Nazuna invites him to her apartment to share his futon. After a while, not knowing that he is just pretending to be passed out, she leans over him and bites his neck.
