The official report on the new season of World trigger has published a new commercial and a new key visual. The anime will debut in Japan on January 9, 2021 as part of the Asahi NUMAnimation television program.
Tomo will return to the cast of the anime Muranaka as Yūma Kuga, Yuuki Kaji as Osamu Mikumo, Yao Tamura as Chika Amatori, Yūichi Nakamura as Yūichi Jin and finally Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hyuse.
The new cast will be Hisao Egawa as Gatlin, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Ratarikov, Mie Sonozaki as Wes Sō, Kenjiro Tsuda as Koskero, Ayumu Murase as Reghindetz and Ryoko Shirashi as Yomi.
Mori Hatano, director of the first season of Saint Seiya Omega, the saga of Trunks in Dragon Ball Super, by Hugtto! Precure and Star Twinkle Precure run the series. Hiroyuki Yoshino, Toshihisa Kaiya and Kenji Kawai will also return as supervisors, character designers and composers this season two..
The opening “Force” will be performed by the South Korean boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Motoko Ōmori and the rock band Mrs. Green Apple wrote the song specifically for the anime. The ending “Mirai Eigō” is performed instead by the rock band Kami wa Saikoro or Furenai.
The World Trigger Manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2013and was paused until November 2016 due to the health conditions of the mangaka Ashihara and then resumed in October 2018. After that there were more breaks, again due to the health problems of the mangaka.
