On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Yukiwo, Jashin-chan Dropkick (Dropkick on my devil!) shared the preview images of the second episode of the project’s third season, which will air on July 12 in Japan. The trailer features a character that fans say is too reminiscent of him Mama Nanami from Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Hire a girlfriend).
However, the synopsis writes: βNow haunted by the heavens, Pino is increasingly afraid of being exterminated anytime soon. Meanwhile, Pino goes to the park and hears Yurine’s angry voice. As a startled Pino looked away, she saw Yurine’s fist, aimed at Jashin-chan, hit her. Yurine then turns to a petite girl who keeps an unchanging expression on her face. This little girl is Lierre-sama, one of the stewards of heaven who came to earth…Β»
Right, it’s not about that Mama-chanbut from Lierre-samaa character actually already appearing in a special (i.e. non-canon) episode entitled “Chapter Chitose‘ and released in Japan on April 30, 2020. However, the coincidence is quite strange, especially because of the second season of Kanojo, Okarishimasu It’s on the air right now.
This third season is being produced with money raised by a fundraiser conducted in September 2020, which reached its goal just 33 hours after it opened and officially announced the production of this third season. Summary for Jashin-chan Dropkick
The demon Jashin-chan was summoned to earth by Yurine Hanazono, a girl with a gift for the occult. Unfortunately, Yurine doesn’t really know how to send Jashin-chan back to Hell. Now stuck on Earth, she is forced to live in Yurine’s apartment as her confidante. The only way for Jashin-chan to return would be to kill her summoner, but that’s easier said than done for the incompetent demoness. Since Jashin-chan is immortal and able to regenerate her body, Yurine does not hesitate to attack her with a variety of weapons and punish her in horrible ways for her evil plans. Jashin-chan is also often visited by her demonic friends: the good-natured gorgon Medusa and the energetic minotaur Minosu, who in contrast seem much more polite and disapprove of her plans to kill Yurine.
