Right from the start, it’s clear that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a dark manga, with a good amount of blood being spilled. The rest of Koyoharu Gotouge’s work doesn’t disappoint on that front: there will be many bloody battles where the demon hunters and creatures of the night that react to muzan will participate.
There are inevitably fatalities too. The dying pillars in Demon Slayer are different, and the anime has already featured one as Kyojuro Rengoku. The Pillar of Flame is not the only one that is leaving us: in the manga now completed, it is indeed very clear who is leaving us before their time. What are the pillars of Demon Slayer to die and when they do? Here is the list:
- the The first to die is the aforementioned Kyojuro Rengoku against Akaza in the Infinity Train saga;
- For the second it will be necessary to go to the last saga with the Kocho Shinobu’s death who sacrifices himself to weaken Duma;
- Then follows Tokito Muichiroone of the strongest demon hunters in Demon Slayer, who, however, cannot do much against the very strong Kokushibo;
- Almost simultaneously, after the last confrontation with Muzan, Iguro Obanai, Mitsuri Kanroji and Gyomei Himejima die. Exhausted from the fight and very badly injured, they will die at the end of Demon Slayer.
Six out of nine die accordingly Giyu Tomioka, Uzui Tengen and Sanemi Shinazugawa who survivealbeit disabled in body and soul to carry out the will of the fallen.
