Weekly Shonen Jump manga is among the best-selling in Japan and for this reason many authors know about the magazine and dream of publishing their story there. But the selection is hard to overcome, and only a few titles a year make it, let alone really make a breakthrough.
Doron Dororon is an example: Gen Osuka's manga has just been discontinued. This allows Weekly Shonen Jump to make room for new manga. This time the magazine launches two new series as announced in issue 39.
The first series to debut is By Tokyo Oni Yome Den (The Legend of Tokyo's Great Demonic Bride), written and drawn by Tadaichi Nakama. The manga will be released on MangaPlus on September 4, 2022, which corresponds to Weekly Shonen Jump's number 40. This is the sequel to a oneshot published in the same magazine throughout 2021.
Similar mode for Watanabe, author of Ginka to Ryuna (Ginka and Ryuna), the second series that will debut in Manga Magazine #41 on September 12, 2022. This series also comes from the oneshot of the same name, which was released in 2021.
We'll see if we can join these two new series in the future as there will also be Hunter x Hunter on Weekly Shonen Jump.
