Despite the declining purchase of print magazines, Weekly Shonen Jump will continue to be released every week. The in-house magazine Shueisha, currently the most successful on the Japanese and world market, with series such as ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen and many others, is about to take a break.

In fact, there are four weeks a year – five in the last two years due to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics – in which Weekly Shonen Jump is taking a complete break from publishing. This means that any series published in the magazine will not come out in any way, including on MangaPlus. The calendar provides for a break after the chapters are published on Monday, December 20, and therefore no publication on December 27, with the chapters being officially postponed to the New Year.

The next publication is therefore planned for January 3, 2022followed by a new pause. Therefore there will be no more chapters of the Weekly Shonen Jump on January 10th. return permanently every week starting January 17, 2022. So it will be a month with few releases and a lot of sips for the following manga:

  • ONE PIECE
  • My Hero Academia
  • Black clover
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Dr. stone
  • Mission: Yozakura family
  • Undead bad luck
  • Mashle
  • Ayakashi triangle
  • Magu-chan
  • Me and Roboko
  • High school family
  • Sakamoto days
  • The elusive samurai
  • Witch guard
  • Blue box
  • PPPPPP
  • Ayashimon
  • Protect me! Shugomaru
  • Doron Dororon

The process is similar to that of other weekly magazines from other publisherswhich will follow roughly the same calendar. The magazine’s next break will be Golden Week in early May and then Obon’s in August.
