Written and illustrated by the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the horror manga Junji Ito, Uzumakithe entire cast of character voices was revealed.
The premiere of the mini series with four episodes is planned for the program block this year Toonamibefore its official release in Japan. The manga in turn previously inspired a live-action film adaptation Eriko Hatsune and Fan fhi, released in 2000.

Synopsis of Uzumaki
In the village of Kurouzu-cho, Kirie Goshima lives a relatively normal life with her family. However, one day when she went to the train station to meet her friend Shuuichi Saito, she found that her father was staring at the snail shell in an alley. Without giving much value, Kirie Shuuichi tells the situation to which he replies that his father also behaved very strangely.
Shuuichi also reveals his desire to flee the village with Kirie, claiming that people are obsessed with spirals. But her father's obsession will soon become fatal, triggering a chain of terrible and inexplicable events.
