Panty & Stocking with garter belt

After the release of the previous draft Hiroyuki Imaishi, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, the program staff went on a trip to rest and relax. Back then, under drunken and humorous circumstances, they voiced their opinions among themselves, saying things like "next time I want to try that' in the beginnings of the animation. Almost all of the anime's concepts were made during the first voyage; the names of the main characters, "pantyhose"Y"Socks' were coined at the first meeting. Hiromi Wakabayashiwhich provided the original idea for the series, quoted American adult cartoons such as The house of drawingsas inspiration for the rawness of the program.

Synopsis for Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

The "sisters of anarchy", Panty and Stocking, were thrown out of heaven for misbehaving, to put it mildly. Led by a priest named Garterbelt, these angels must buy their way back by destroying ghosts in Daten City. But this task requires unconventional weapons for these unorthodox angels: they turn their lingerie into weapons to destroy the spirits. Unfortunately, both of them don't take their duties seriously, preferring to spend their time with other "hobbies": Panty prefers to sleep with everything that's going on, and Stocking prefers to gorge on candy rather than hunt ghosts.

Follow these two boisterous angels as they battle ghosts, an excess of bodily fluids, and their own tendency to lose their way in Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.
