On the official site for the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Ken Wakui, Tokyo Revengersthe first promotional video of the project was released. The announcement covered the cast, production team, and revealed that the series has dated its premiere for April 2021.
Wakui began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in March 2017. The publisher released the 20th collated volume on December 17 in Japan, and the work exceeded 5 million accumulated copies in August.
