Marvel Comics is anticipating the release of a mysterious promotional image the arrival of a new formation of the Thunderboltsthe team of antiheroes (and often even villains) who represent a sort of antithesis to the Marvel Universe’s most important supergroup: the Avengers.

Created by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley, the Thunderbolts originally debuted in the pages of Incredible Hulk #449 in 1996. It was about a group of mercenaries led by Baron Zemo which over time has included characters like Venom, Bullseye and the Red Hulk among its ranks.

The latest incarnation of the team was recently presented on the pages of the Devil’s Reign event, the ending of which promises big surprises for the Marvel Universe. This latest incarnation of the Thunderbolts, consisting of Taskmaster, Mister Fear, Batroc the jumper, Rhino, Star, Ampere and Snakehead, however, it appears to be short-lived.

The promotional image released by Marvel (which we share at the end of the article) actually shows this the silhouettes of the six new (and currently mysterious) characters who will form the new Thunderbolts roster, accompanied by the ‘censored’ slogan “[classified] [classified] like a flash …“, or “[riservato] [riservato] like a flash …‘ which is difficult to interpret. The artists involved in the relaunch are not known for the time beingnor what this new project actually entails.

While waiting for updates that shouldn’t be long in coming, we remind you that rumors have recently surfaced that would foreshadow the arrival of a Thunderbolts movie put in the pipeline by Marvel Studios.
