Recently, the Japanese publisher Shogakukan announced that the novel The tunnel to summer, the end of the farewell receives an animated adaptation. The anime feature film based on the sci-fi opera by Mei Hachimoku and Kukka will be released later in the year.
One of the most successful light novels on Japanese territory inspired an anime film adaptation. The feature film The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye comes inSummer 2022.
the novel written by Hachimoku and illustrated by Kukka was placed ninth in the Bunkobon category of the 2020 edition of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi. An anime adaptation published in Shogakukan’s Sunday GX magazine last year, as well as in the Japanese publisher’s Manga ONE mobile application. The manga series will conclude with the fourth volume, which will be released shortly.
The animated adaptation is directed by Tomohisa Taguchi, director of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, im CLAP animation studio. There is currently no information available about the cast and staff working on the feature film.
The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye tells the story of Tono Kaoru, who, after hearing a voice, stood in front of the Urashima tunnel, within which it is said that the laws of space and time mean nothing. To Kaoru’s surprise, new schoolmate Anzu Hanaki promises to help him explore the mysterious tunnel. But what does he want in return?
