On the official site for the animated adaptation of light novels by Ryo Shirakome, Shokugyou Arifureta by Sekai Saikyou ((Arifureta: from everyday to the strongest in the world) the first promotional video for the second season of the project was released. The video confirms that the series will premiere in January 2022.

On the other hand, Ryou Shirakome publishes these light novels with illustrations by Takayaki by the publisher OVERLAP since June 2015. The first season was produced by the studios white fox, had thirteen episodes and aired in July 2019.

  • Shoichi Sato ((Corpse Party: Tortured Souls, Minami-ke: Okawari, Record of the Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight) is responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Chika Kojima ((Big order, Shuffle !, Mirai Nikki) is responsible for the character design.

Synopsis by Arifureta Shokugyou by Sekai Saikyou

The student Hajime Nagumo is bullied by his classmates because he is a couple with the school idol Kaori. When he and the rest of the class are placed in a fantastic world, all of his companions are given powerful magical abilities, while Hajime is only given basic alchemy magic to transform solid materials, which is common forging.

During an attack on a dungeon, he is betrayed by one of his companions and thrown to the bottom. Hajime survives the fall and begins creating weapons to escape the dungeon and become stronger. On his way he meets the vampire Yue and is later accompanied by the rabbit-eared girl Shea, the perverted dragon Tio and others.
