A press release announced that light novels by Enki Hakari and illustrated by barrel, Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai and Odekakechuu ((Skeleton Knight in another world), will have an anime adaptation. The statement revealed production details but no release date.
Enki Hakari began publishing these lightweight novels with illustrations by KeG through the publisher in June 2015 OVERLAP. The publisher released the ninth volume in March 2019 in Japan and there have been no further publications since then.

- Takeshi Kikuchi is responsible for writing and monitoring the series scripts.
- Tooru Imanishi ((Girly Luftwaffe, Ragnastrike Engel, Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii Desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii Desu ka?) is responsible for the character design.
- EBA ((Arata Kangatari, Free!: Eternal summer) Y. Tsubasa itou ((Egao no Daika, Princess Connect! Re: diving) are responsible for composing the soundtrack.
Synopsis of Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai and Odekakechuu
One day a gamer was playing video games until he fell asleep … and when he woke up he was like a skeleton in the game world! Armed with the mighty weapons and armor of his avatar, but with his terrifying skeletal appearance, Ark must find a place for himself in this fantastic new land. All his hopes for a quiet life are dashed when he comes across a beautiful elven warrior who takes him on a journey full of conflict and adventure.
