the production company Pony Canyon issued a press release confirming production of an anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Hatsuharu, A girl and her guard dog (Ojou to banks-kun), which will be released in Japan in 2023. The report did not reveal any production details or any voice acting for the project.
Hatsuharu started publishing the manga through the magazine Bessatsu friend from the publisher Kodansha in December 2018, and the publisher released the eighth compiled volume in October 2022, with the literary franchise exceeding two million copies in circulation. The author has also written other works, such as βMainichi kiss shit Ii desu ka?“, “Suki ni Naranai I, Senpai“, “Kimi ga Inakya Dame tte Itte“, “Kimi no kiss from me wo samasu“Y”Ashita mo kiss shit Ii desu ka?“, since 2013.
