With the first episode, CloverWorks’ work hovered at an average rating of 8.30, a value that has been slowly declining in recent weeks.
Right before The Promised Neverland 2×05 aired, the anime had an average rating of 8.05, but it continued to drop within a few hours. After the episode aired on various streaming services around the world, The Promised Neverland 2 first fell to 7.94 and then to 7.85. A steady decline, marked by further cuts, came with the broadcast of the new episode.
