A leak from this year’s fifth issue of the magazine animediawhich will be released in Japan on April 8 featured a special illustration for the franchise of Pokémon Journeys, whose anime adaptation is currently airing. The funny thing is that this picture contains three female characters: chloe and Lysia from Omega ruby and Alpha Sapphirewho had previously been confirmed; and brightwearing an outfit featured in the video game Pokemon xy.
On April 8 in Japan the new episode of Pokémon Journeyswhich the title “Eevee and Sylveon! Meet and meet!“. The relationship between the leaked illustration and the title is undeniable as the Eevee featured in the image includes the ribbon that Serena gave to Chloe at one point in the franchise. However, it’s also worth noting that the trailer for the next episode only confirms Chloe and Lisia’s return, although fans assure that it “a smokescreen‘ to also hide Serena’s return.
Is the leak real? The answer is quite simple and the editors of Animedia magazine themselves made the mistake of confirming it indirectly. But that didn’t happen this time, as the editors posted an update on Twitter and responded to some accounts that shared the image by warning that they could not reveal any content from the magazine:
«Editor of Animedia. Unauthorized secondary reproduction or distribution of copyrighted illustrations, photographs, and magazine articles is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from fully reproducing the articles and images or uploading them to the internet and social networks. Please note that if you do not respond, we may take appropriate action under the law» wrote the warning, which indirectly confirmed the veracity of the leak.
Pokemon journey summary
On a new day in the Kanto region, Professor Yukinari Ookido invites Satoshi to the groundbreaking ceremony for Professor Sakuragi’s laboratory in Vermillion City. During the ceremony, Professor Sakuragi receives a warning about a potentially rare Pokemon appearing in Vermillion City’s harbor, prompting Satoshi and the other trainers to run to the area in hopes of finding the Mythical Pokemon. At the port, they find Lugia, a legendary Pokémon, fighting with other trainers.
Satoshi, noticing the other Trainers’ tactics, has his partner Pikachu hit Lugia with a Thunder Clap attack. Undeterred, Lugia flees, but not before Satoshi resolutely leaps onto his back. To Satoshi’s surprise, he encounters another boy, Gou, who has also jumped onto Lugia’s back. The two ride on Lugia’s back as he takes them on a strange adventure across the seas. When he leaves the two on the ground, Satoshi and Gou bid Lugia goodbye and return to Sakuragi High School. Impressed by Gou’s insights and Satoshi’s insights during their encounter, Sakuragi requests that the duo become his new research partners. And so begins the journey of the duo, traveling across multiple regions to meet many new Pokémon, including those with the Gigantamax ability!
