On the official page for the anime adaptation of the multimedia project by Kadokawa, SELECTION PROJECT, a special video has been released introducing the character Suzune Miyama, played by voice actress Hinaki yano. The press release confirmed that the first episode was on Jan. Youtube and Niconico.

The series is scheduled to premiere on October 1st via the television network AT-X, TOKYO MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi and BS11while the platform Funimation takes care of the spread in the west. The number of episodes of this animation project has not yet been confirmed.

  • Yuuya takahashi (Donten ni Warau, Watashitachi, Luck Logic-bu !, Luck & Logic, Lupine III (2015)) is responsible for writing and looking after the series scripts.
  • Kanna Hirayama (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is responsible for character design.
  • Youhei kisara (Angel's 3Piece, Love Live! School Idol Project, PuraOre! Proud of orange so I can't play H.) is responsible for the production of the soundtrack.

Selection of project overview

The focus of the multimedia project is on the seventh “Selection Project”, an idol reality show from Japan that takes place every summer. The Selection Project is the main entry point for any girl who wants to become an idol, and the project follows nine girls who have won the regional qualifying rounds. The votes of the audience determine which girls win or lose in these "audition battles".

Suzune Miyama wants to be an idol like Akari Amenazawa, an idol who debuted through a reality show. Suzune had been sick since childhood, but she often listened to Akari's music when she went for a walk. Akari's voice gave Suzune a smile and courage that encouraged her to do the same for others. During her final summer in high school, Suzune decides to take part in the seventh selection project to help make her dreams come true.
