During the Netflix Festival Japan 2021, the new anime series by director and screenwriter Mitsuo Iso was officially presented in a first trailer. The orbital children will come to the streaming giant's catalog in early 2022.

Fifteen years after the debut of Coil - A Circle of Children, the famous Japanese animator will again take center stage with The Orbital Children. This is his new project in six episodes appears in the Netflix catalog January 28, 2022.

The events of The Orbital Children, whose original name is Chikyugai Shonen Shojo, Extra-Terrestrial Boys & Girls, will begin in 2045 when technology has advanced enough for anyone to be able to do it travel freely in space. Children born on the moon and born on earth meet on the Japanese space station Anshin. However, your future will be decided by the mysterious Seven Poems.

With financial support from Avex Pictures and ASMIK Ace, The Orbital Children is under construction in the new one Production + animation studio h. In addition to Mitsuo Iso, creator, writer and director of the work, the team includes Kenichi Yoshida as character designer and Toshiyuki Inoue as animator. The soundtrack is entrusted to the composer Rei Ishizuka.
