One of the biggest topics of Saint Seiya: The Knights of the ZodiacIn addition to friendship, it is honor that binds the knights to the goddess Athena. The same Pegasus actually struggled against the various challenges fate brought to the protection of its goddess, even at the expense of its original aim.
Separated from his sister Patricia to become a Knight of the Zodiac, Pegasus After receiving the armor of the winged horse of mythology, he went to New Luxor to take part in the tournament organized by Isabelle, hoping to attract the attention of his sister, whose fate seems uncertain. The tournament itself was however interrupted by Phoenix who, under the influence of dark forces, hurried to steal Sagitter’s armor as a prize from the foundation for the winner of the competition.
From that moment on, a long series of events and exhausting battles will accompany the protagonists, which will actually distance Pegasus from his goal of finding Patricia. In fact, for a long time fans mistakenly believed that her sister was none other than Castalia, Mentor of the protagonist in Greece, misunderstandings mainly caused by memory loss of both. The same Lemurs, one of the knights in gold-scaled armor, pretended to be Pegasus’ sister in order to deceive him by invoking doubts about the knight’s heart. The secret wasn’t revealed until later, towards the end of the Hades saga, when it was Castalia herself who brought her sister Patricia back to Pegasus after finding it in the Elysian Fields.
In fact, Patricia had moved away from Tokyo to look for her brother, but during the trip she lost her memory by falling into a ravine. From that moment on she was greeted and looked after by a farmer until Castalia recognized her and decided to accompany her to her beloved brother. This riddle was therefore caused by an incredible resemblance between the two heroines, as well as by the same past that connects them: that is the separation from her brother and the loss of memory.
