Times are tough for the Justice League: DC Comics has announced it DC Universe’s main superhero team will meet their destiny in Justice League #75. The book, due out in April, will contain the story βThe Death of the Justice League,β defined as the start of the next major DC Universe event.
Justice League #75 is being made by screenwriter Joshua Williamson and artist Rafa Sandoval and will enjoy a main cover art by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sanchez, and different variant covers by artists like Alex Maleev, Dan Jurgens, Norm Rapmund, Mikel Janin and Tony Harris.
“We designed Death of the Justice League based on the main title last year“explains Williamson.”I remember buying Death of Superman thirty years ago and now we have an opportunity to take that idea and expand on it. Justice League #75 allows us to show why the Justice League is made up of the greatest comic book heroes by detailing the aftermath of their defeat against the greatest threat the DC Universe has ever faced.“.
Published by DC Comics, the synopsis reveals that the greatest heroes of the DC Universe must band together on the fringes of the Multiverse to face an epic war against the Dark Army. But at the end, The Justice League is killed by the Dark Army, leaving only one member alive who must take on the responsibility of warning Earth’s heroes of the coming threat.
The release of Justice League #75 is scheduled for April 19, 2022 in the US. Despite the death of the main universe Justice League, the DC Multiverse can still count on the Multiverse Justice League, whose adventures are recounted in the publication Justice League Incarnate. The team’s video game counterpart fares no better: The team is indeed in the Suicide Squad’s sights. Here is the first gameplay trailer of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
