At the end of chapter 74 of the manga drawn by Toyotaro, Vegeta was using his Ultra Instinct. An unprecedented, unprecedented transformation that stems from the powers of a God of Destruction. Training with Beerus has helped Vegeta get to know himself better and unleash a transformation Goku can never achieve.
With the new Dragon Ball Super 75 spoilers, Vegeta Granolah has officially revealed the name of his transformation, confirming that this is something never seen before. The Japanese name is æ å ㎠æĨĩ æ (Wagamama no Gokui)which already sounds very similar to Gokus å æ ㎠æĨĩ æ (Migatte no Gokui). The “no Gokui” part actually stays the same, that’s the secret of a technique.
The part that changes is the first Wagamama versus Migatte, or rather in the very first Kanji of her words: In fact, both have a “selfish” meaning. In Goku’s case, migatte means “selfish,” but includes the kanji čēĢ or “body,” which suggests a body moving at will.
Wagamama instead contains the Kanji æ, which can be translated as “self” and thus relates to the ego. Consequently, what moves Vegeta is his own will and not the body, as with Goku. A difference that makes the Saiyans themselves more distant in using these divine techniques.
We’ll have to wait a few days to know the official translation of this instinct with the release of Dragon Ball Super 75 on MangaPlus. What would you call it
