It was announced that the series of shorts Ikusa-Otome no Shokutaku based on the game for smartphones Honkai Impact 3rd, will be released on Japanese television through the channels BS NTV and others from next July 7.

The series already premiered in June 2019 through the Chinese streaming platform, Bilibili. Furthermore, the Honkai Impact 3rd game is the third installment in the franchise. Honkai, and was released in China in October 2016, followed by a release in Japan in February 2017. In addition to the animated series, the game has also inspired a host of webcomics.

Production team

- Ayaka Shimoji (Bakumatsu) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- HOYO-MiX was in charge of the composition of the soundtrack.
- Rie Kugimiya, Miyuki Sawashiro, Kana Asumi and Rie Tanaka perform the main theme song entitled “Taste of Home”.
Synopsis for Ikusa-Otome no Shokutaku
Valkyries, warriors of Schicksal, the most powerful organization on Earth. The small bodies of these women are imbued with the same genes capable of counteracting the embodiment of chaos: Honkai, a rampant phenomenon whose ultimate goal is to destroy humanity. This spin-off series shows the Valkyries in a new original story, not as serious as it should be.
