Considered by many to be the absolute king of Spokon manga, slam dunk is about to return to cinemas with a new highly anticipated feature-length anime. While waiting for its debut online, a short promotional teaser was released, highlighting Shohoku's teamwork and the film's theme song.

A few days after the trailer for The First Slam Dunk that focuses on Miyagi comes a new one, but this time it doesn't target a single character, it targets the Shohoku basic quintet. In the clip that you can find at the end of the article, we see Hanamichi, Rukawa, Mitsui Miyagi and Captain Akagi hugging on the field while shouting "1, 2, 3" at the same time. These numbers also indicate the release date of The First Slam Dunk, which is exactly 03/12/2022.

After the trailer, PV shows another frame that allows us to admire the film's computer graphics but mainly reveals the acronym that will accompany viewers. That opening piece The one we are offered a preview of is β€œDai Zero Kan” by the music group 10-FEET.

Based on the original manga by Takehiko Inoue, which appeared in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1996 and has a total circulation of 120 million copies, The First Slam Dunk is being created by TOEI Animation and DandeLion Animation Studio.
