The Cardfight anime !! Vanguard Gaiden If becomes a trend in Japan

The new series for the franchise of Bushiroad, Cardfight !! Vanguard, entitled Cardfight !! Vanguard Gaiden If, became the first national trend on Twitter in Japan during the broadcast of the most recent episode on June 27.

The hashtag # ヴ γ‚‘ ン ガ γƒΌ ド if (#VanguardIf) was positioned as the most popular trend on Twitter in Japan and in which viewers expressed their opinions on the episode broadcast that same day. This series was originally planned to premiere in April, but this was postponed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production. The anime premiered on May 30 and, almost a month after that, it has gained wide popularity in Japan.

For his part, Cardfight !! Vanguard is a multimedia franchise created by Akira Itou, Satoshi Nakamura, Mitsuhisa Tamura and Takaaki Kidani of Bushiroad. It currently consists of multiple animated series, an official card game, a manga series, and an animated film and a live-action.

Regarding anime, the first season aired in January 2011 and was produced by studios TMS Entertainment. Subsequently, the second season titled Cardfight !! Vanguard: Asia Circuit premiered in April 2012, followed by Cardfight !! Vanguard: Link Joker released in January 2013, Cardfight !! Vanguard: Legion Mate in March 2014, Cardfight !! Vanguard G in October 2014, Cardfight !! Vanguard G: GIRS Crisis in October 2015; and another three more seasons. In total, the broadcast of the series has accumulated more than 500 episodes in total.
