The anime en returns with the final part of the final season The attack of the giants, one of the masterpieces of Japanese animation of the last decade. If the story of Eren Jaeger and the other Eldians in anime format is not over yet, even if it will be completed by the end of 2023, the story in manga version is long gone.
It was 2021 when author Hajime Isayama finished his story, first published with chapter 139 in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, then with volume 34 of The Attack of the Giants, released a few months later and with a few more pages for the finale. Recently, however, Hajime Isayama has returned to speak about his creature in interviews and statements at fairs. He also returned to drawing Attack on Titan by putting it on the cover of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine to celebrate the anime's return.
Precisely on this occasion, the mangaka also spoke of a physical problem that made him stop drawing all the time. "A lot of mangaka suffer from tendonitis but I don't because of the way I hold my pencil. I suffer from terrible back pain. Mangakas twist their wrists in all directions and suddenly get tendonitis. I don't make this movement when I turn the pages. At least that had the benefit of saving my hand."
Consequently Hajime Isayama has physical problems that limit his ability to draw. In any case, the author confirmed that he will not return to drawing new manga, probably also because he said everything he wanted to say and now he will focus on something else and will only sporadically return to his most famous manga.
