Even though The attack of the giants mainly focuses on the protagonists’ stories, dialogues, decisions, mysteries and human drama, which does not mean that the series is devoid of bloody moments. In fact, he’s made a name for himself since season one Souls with strong violent and bloodthirsty content.
In fact, however, the first part of season four was much more focused on that Life beyond the walls in the Liberio district in Marley and then also show us the political intrigues of Eldia after Eren’s desertion. But thanks to that first episode, the anime has returned to its old habits and revealed what could possibly be its bloodiest episode yet.
It all started this week when Attack on Titan season 4 returned with a huge episode. After leaving us with several cliffhangers, fans were greeted with the opening of Marley’s attack on Eldia. Fans watched Eren and Reiner’s rematch begin in Attack on Titan 4×17. And as their struggle unfolded, MAPPA brought out Studio another type of war between Marleyans and Yeagerists.
As you can see on the news below, the fans were amazed as the clashes between the military were shown. Attack on Titan has shown a lot of battles prior to this, but season three, for example, has often its most brutal moments censored. But Studio MAPPA seems to have a different policy as to what they want to show viewers.
This first episode of the second half of the season not only ended in bloodshed, but it also showed more deaths on screen than ever before. We even saw a hunter turn his three-dimensional maneuvering equipment into a tool of death for killing an enemy soldier, and it was not easy to watch.
Sure, the battle between the giants was definitely brutal, but it seems less effective than seeing two men fighting to the death on a battlefield. Fans weren’t ready for the first episode of Attack of the Giants 4 and were surprised by the violence of the episode.
Did you also notice how brutal that first episode was? Do you think Attack on Titan will continue to be this violent? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below. We remind you that you can watch the episodes of Attack of the Giants 4 on Crunchyroll.
