The renowned Japanese leaker Ryokutyya confirms that the anime adaptation of the manga has been written and illustrated Miki Yoshikawa, Kakkou no Iinazuke (A couple of cuckoos), has its premiere dated for next April in Japan. The leak also confirmed that the band’s lead singer Ikimonogakari, Kiyoe Yoshioka, the opening theme is titled “Decoboko (凸凹)‘ in collaboration with the band Ryokuoushoku Shakai.
crispy roll will be responsible for the distribution of this animation project in the west. Yoshikawa, who is also the author of Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches), began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in January 2020, after being released as a set of three one-shots and voted for serialization in early 2019.

Synopsis for Kakkou no Iinazuke
All of the members of the Umino house are quite similar: they are energetic and incredibly dynamic, with the exception of Nagi, who is a serious and introverted young man who is solely focused on his studies. She’s the complete opposite of someone like her younger sister Sachi, who is a reflection of her outgoing parents. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Nagi was switched at birth with another baby. On the way to her real parents, Nagi meets Erika Amano, a young social media star.
As he spends the day with her, he learns that Erika’s parents forced her to get married. Later that day, Nagi learns that Erika’s fiancé is none other than himself in order to officially become part of each other’s family. To strengthen the couple’s relationship, Nagi’s biological father arranges for the fiancee to live together. But no matter how many pranks her parents play, Nagi refuses to marry Erika. And he already has another person in his sights: the beautiful and intelligent Hiro Segawa.
