Synopsis for Hanma Baki: Son of the Ogre
After 18 years of fighting and pushing his body beyond its natural limits, Baki Hanma is almost ready to face his father Yuujirou in one last fight. Baki publicly challenges his father to a rematch for the title of World’s Strongest and sets about training even more. His targets are the few men said to have power comparable to Yuujirou, including bounty hunter “Unchained” Biscuit Olivia and a prehistoric human named Pickle who was revived from the Mesozoic Era. The demonic Yuujirou oversees his son’s education with growing anticipation. The “ogre” sees baki as little more than savory food marinated for him to devour.
However, Yuujirou lives alone on the Mountain of Strength. He longs for a fighter who will rise up and prove himself a worthy opponent who can challenge him. Though Yuujirou sees his son as pathetic, he can’t help but hope that his son is the one to give him the thrill of the eye-to-eye combat he’s lived with for so long. As Baki tries to understand his father’s monstrous legacy, Yuujirou comes to terms with his true feelings towards his son. The two Hanmas enter their climax battle to decide who really is the “strongest in the world”.
