On the official site for the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Sana Kirioka, Taishou Otome Otogibanashi (Taisho maiden tale) the third promotional video of the project was released. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for October 8 in Japan while the platform Funimation will be responsible for distribution in the west. The video also shows the opening song titled “Otome no Kokore” and played by GARNiDELiA.
Kirioka published the original manga through the magazine Jump SQ from the publisher Shueisha between July 2015 and September 2017 and summarizes the work in a total of five volumes. He later published the sequel Shouwa Otome Otogibanashi through the service Shonen Jump Plus between August 2018 and May 2020.

Taishou Otome Otogibanashi Summary
Tamahiko Shima is the youngest son of the powerful and wealthy Shima family. Blessed with great happiness from childhood, he unwittingly grew up more than the affections of his often distant family. After Tamahiko lost his mother in an accident and paralyzed his dominant arm, she fell into deep despair and was rejected by his own father because of his disability.
Condemned to live in isolation in the countryside where his family’s name would not shame his family, he bored himself with dying alone until one day a young woman named Yuzuki Tachibana appeared on his doorstep and announced that Tamahiko’s father had her as his sent his girlfriend. While taking care of Tamahiko, Yuzuki brings a sense of spring into Tamahiko’s sad life and allows her to gradually recover from the deep emotional scars of her youth. Their lives slowly intertwine as Tamahiko and Yuzuki taste the fruits of their first love.
