As previously announced, a new promotional video for the second part of the second season of the animated franchise was revealed during a live broadcast. Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (TenSura: Back then, I was reborn as a slime) that is currently airing. The video introduces the “Arch of the Walpurgis” and the Demon Kings for the first time.
This second season will be confirmed with a total of 24 episodes, 12 of which will be broadcast in the winter season 2021 (January-March) and a further 12 in the summer season 2021 (July-September). In the off-season, i.e. spring 2021 (April-June), the anime adaptation of the spin-off manga was broadcast. Tense Nikki: Tensei Shitara slime Datta Ken.
Production team
- Yasuhito kikuchi (Busou Shinki, IS: Infinite Stratos, Holy Seiya) is responsible for directing the anime in the studios 8 bit.
- Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black clover, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, Isekai Maou after Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) is responsible for writing and maintaining the scripts.
- Takahiro kishida (Baccano!, Ballroom and Youkoso, Haikyu !!) is responsible for character design.
- Elements garden the composition of the soundtrack will be credited.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Summary
Satoru Mikami is an ordinary 37-year-old man who lives in Tokyo. He is relatively happy with his monotonous life, even though he doesn’t have a girlfriend. When he encounters one of his colleagues, an attacker stabs him and he dies. But during his agony before his death, a mysterious voice recites a series of commands that initially make no sense. When he wakes up again, he discovers that he has been reborn as slime in another world. Little did he know that his monotonous life has now taken a complete turn, as he will gradually discover new skills and make new friends with his new way of life.
