The saga of Sword art online is a popular franchise around the world, now an icon of the isekai genre that is so very fashionable in Japanese animation. The adventures of Kirito and Asuna have inspired numerous television series as well as a fairly long-running anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures.
The studio has no plans to abandon the series even though the TV transposition of the light novel is approaching, and is currently continuing to support the project with a new series of films to adapt Sword Art Online: Progressive, a spin-off of the official novel but with interesting backgrounds to the first saga of the often profound story.
The first of these feature films has already made its debut, and the next is expected in 2022, ideally to keep production waiting for Sword Art Online: Unital Ring, the next anime saga to follow the events. In this context the artist is Colored pencil deathnote dedicated an illustration to the series, which you can also see on the news below, just for Alice, the character that was introduced with the final story arc, however turned into reality thanks to artificial intelligence.
