Starting in July, DC Comics will reinvent its series of titles Superman Donate to the Man of Steel a new group of writers and a Future State review that will lead to a monthly series.
The revolution begins on July 13th, the date the new monthly series will appear Superman: son of Kal-El. These comics were written by Tom Taylor, formerly responsible for Nightwing, DCeased, and Suicide Squad, and drawn by Johm Timms. They will tell the story of Superman’s son who was entrusted with protecting the earth. It is time for Jonathan Kent to put on his father’s cloak and continue his struggle as a symbol of hope for the whole world.
However, July 20th is the day of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow # 2, limited series of eight editions by Tom King and the artist Bilquis Evely. The comic continues Kara Zor-El’s journey of self-discovery, an adventure that takes her from the shadows of her more famous cousin.
Tuesday, July 27th is the turn Action Comics # 1033. Writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson and artist Daniel Sampere will put Superman at the forefront of the battle to free the prisoners of Warworld. In this new volume, Warworld refugees have stolen dangerous technology and brought it to the underwater realm of Acquaman to wage an all-out war that even Superman may not be able to prevent.
Eventually we will find Superman and the Authority. If Superman is to free the prisoners from Warworld, he needs help, a request that the Justice League cannot fulfill. At the forefront of this new series are award-winning writer Gran Morrison and artist Mikel Janin.
