A press release officially confirmed production of an anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Bukimi Miki, SHY. The statement listed production details but did not reveal a planned release date for the project. The author commented:

  • I would like to thank everyone who has supported me so far and supported the work of SHY. Thank you for everything! I’m sure Shy is very nervous about the animated series herself, but if her work inspires as many people as possible, she couldn’t be happier. Let’s all enjoy Shy-chan’s liveliness and embarrassment a hundred times stronger!

Bukimi Miki began publishing this manga in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion from the publisher Akita shot since August 2019. The publisher published the fifteenth anthology in August 2022, and the sixteenth will appear on October 6th. This is the author’s first work, so no art history can be listed.
