Star Wars: Visions immediately presented itself as an ambitious and curious project, especially for the involvement of seven Japanese animation studios alongside Disney. Among these there were Studio triggerwhich produced two of the nine episodes released and initially proposed a different story to the American giant.

During theAnime Expo 2022on the panel dedicated to the anthological series, was present Hiromi Wakabayashi, producer of the series, who has assuaged some curiosity about the production by answering questions from fans. While Shigeto Koyama and Yoh Yoshinari created exclusive artwork for the event, Wakabayashi discussed how Studio Trigger was excited about the collaboration to a project like Star Wars: Visions, which also admits the existence of a story they had in mind to make that hasn't seen the light yet.

The studio would have actually been interested tell a story about the Wookies, starring a young Wookie who is determined to experience an adventure in space and get away from the tree-planet Kashyyyk, which also appears in the films. A'Idea rejected by Disney for the first season of the project, and that could therefore return in the second season of Star Wars: Visions. What do you think? Would you like to see such a story?
