Thirty years have passed since the debut of Marvel 2099, a label founded with the aim of telling adventures set more than a hundred years in the future. The most famous character of this line is surely Miguel O’Hara, behold Spider-Man 2099, which will return to the protagonist of a series of his own in April.
Created in 1992 by Peter David and Rick Leonardi in the pages of Spider-Man 2099 #1 (after a brief appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #365), theSpider-Man from 2099 is one of the most popular alternate versions of Spider-Manas evidenced by its constant presence as an unlockable outfit in video games dedicated to climbing walls (here we analyze all the Spider-Man costumes for PS4).
Therefore, the announcement of Marvel Comics is not surprising Spider-Man 2099: Exodus, new limited series starring Miguel O’Hara, who will see Steve Orlando as the screenwriter, flanked by an artist team consisting of Paul Fry, David Wachter, Marco Castiello, Ze Carlos, Alessandro Mircola and Kim Jacinto.
In this new series that starts with Spider-Man 2099: Exodus – Alpha #1Miguel has to deal with numerous threats from Nueva York, like the Ghost Rider of the future which appears on the cover of the alpha issue. Among the other 2099 characters expected to be present by Marvel Comics, we also find Loki and Winter Soldierpresented through the character designs that we share in the gallery below along with the covers of the first three issues.
Spider-Man 2099: Exodus – Alpha #1 will be released on April 5, 2022 in the United States, followed by Spider-Man 2099: Exodus #1 on May 11 and #2 on May 18. This year we will also be able to see Miguel O’Hara in the cinema: Spider-Man 2099 will indeed be among the protagonists of the next Spider-Man animated film (here the first trailer of Spider Man Across the Spiderverse).
