On the official site for the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Maiko Uchino, Slow loopthe first promotional image of the project was published. The press release also revealed the production team and confirmed that the series will premiere in January 2022.

Uchino published the manga as a one-shot in the magazine Manga Time Kirara forward from the publisher Houbunsha in April 2018, before serialization begins in September 2018. The Publisher Houbunsha released the third compiled volume in June 2020, followed by the fourth in January 2021 in Japan. This is the first work that has been officially serialized by Maiko UchinoIt is therefore not possible to create a work history.

Production team

  • Noriaki Akitaya ((Bakuman., Castle City Dandelion, ORESUKI: Are you the only one who loves me?) is responsible for directing the anime in the studios CONNECT.
  • Yuka Yamada ((Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maiden, Asteroid in Love, Umi Monogatari) is responsible for writing and monitoring the scripts.
  • Shoko Takimoto ((BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie, ORESUKI: Are you the only one who loves me?) is responsible for the character design and the direction of animation.

Slow loop synopsis

When Hiyori, a girl whose late father taught her the joys of fishing, went to the sea to spend some time alone, she never thought she would find another girl there. After a while, this girl was fishing Koharu and they were fishing and cooking together while gradually getting to know each other.

During their brief time together, Koharu discovers that the reason Hiyori went to sea that day was because she was reluctant to meet her new adoptive family that night. But what a coincidence! Koharu will also meet his new family that day! It can't be a coincidence, can it? All that remains is to follow these two "sisters" and their new life together!
