The highly anticipated isekai series “Skeleton Knight in Another World” has officially announced its return for a second season. This exciting news was revealed during the 10th Anniversary Memorial Fest! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special Night Dream Fest, held at Tokyo’s TFT Hall 1000.

Series Background and Development

The journey of “Skeleton Knight in Another World” began in October 2014 when author Ennki Hakari first published the series on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, Japan’s premier web novel platform. Due to its immense popularity, the series was acquired by Overlap publishing house, which has released ten volumes since June 2015 under their Overlap Novels imprint. The character designs by KeG have been instrumental in bringing the story to life.

Manga Adaptation and Creative Team

In February 2017, the manga adaptation, illustrated by Akira Sawano, made its debut on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website. The manga has since grown to encompass 13 volumes. To celebrate the second season announcement, both KeG and Sawano created special illustrations, showcasing their ongoing dedication to the series.

The story follows an unnamed gamer who finds himself transported into a game world, only to awaken as a skeleton. Now known as Arc, he navigates this new reality equipped with his avatar’s powerful gear. His journey crosses paths with an elegant elf warrior, leading to a series of adventures that challenge his initial desire for a peaceful life.
