On the official page for the animated adaptation of the character franchise Nanatsu no Taizai ((Not to be confused with Nakaba Suzuki’s manga), entitled Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai ((Seven deadly sins) it was announced that the animated franchise will have a compiled Blu-ray BOX package. The package contains all twelve episodes of the animated adaptation 2017, all nineteen episodes of the short series Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai Zange-roku and all of the audio dramas in the franchise that make up a lot of content. Finally, the package will be released in Japan on August 4th.
In addition, the statement announced the development of the role-playing game for smartphones Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai X-TASYwho will follow the same story from the animated production, including some additional characters. The development has been recruiting beta testers since April 22, 2021, who receive applications via their official website.
On the other hand, the original twelve episode series was produced by the studios Artland in collaboration with studios TNK, Headed by Kinji Yoshimoto and scripts written by Masashi Suzuki, published April 2017. A ten episode side story entitled Nanatsu not a Bitoku ((The seven heavenly virtues) aired in January 2018.
Synopsis of Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai
Lucifer, an archangel and former leader of the seven heavenly virtues, is banished from heaven after rebelling against the will of the Lord. As he falls, he stops halfway between heaven and hell after crashing through the roof of a high school church. Although Maria Totsuka, a quietly spoken student at the academy, was a witness, Lucifer quickly continues his descent into the depths of hell.
Shortly after his arrival, Lucifer is found by the aspiring Demon Lord and the fan-girl Leviathan. The two decide to overthrow the Seven Sins, the authorities of Hell under the leadership of Belial. But when their powers are combined, the Seven Sins can ward off Lucifer and contain his divine powers by placing a garment of punishment on his body and turning Lucifer into a demon lord. Longing for revenge and accompanied by Leviathan, Lucifer returns to earth, where he forces Mary to become his immortal slave. Together with his new accomplices, Lucifer sets out to conquer the seven sins so that he can free himself from the curse caused by his outfit.
