Grand Blue, reported that he is working on a new project. «The recording of the anime that I’ve been working on for a year started today. The plan is to have it ready by next fall and finally to air it next year. The way anime production has changed in recent years has now made it more common for series to be completed before it airs.».

During his long professional career, he has directed projects such as After the war Gundam X., Binan Koukou Chikyuu Boueibu Happy kiss!, Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, Ginban kaleidoscope, Gintama, Grand Blue, Kumo no Mori no Marcus, Gundam Wing mobile suit, Ougon Yuusha Goldran, Sakamoto Desu ga?, School rumble, among many others.
